The Medium Mood are a 3 piece rock outfit with a penchant for loud amplifiers and non-linear song structures. They blend aggression, melody, and dissonance to form a new aesthetic from their diverse influence palette.

The group were originally known as Safety Scissors, and released their first EP in 2005 under that handle. The EP was known as Fugitives (the inaugural Noyes Records release), which they have re-released as the prelude to their forthcoming LP, New Alarm (released July 13, 2007 on Noyes Records). In its 11 tracks, New Alarm picks up on the promise of Fugitives and delivers an austere, intense wall of sound. Tracks such as Inventor and There's Nothing To See Here will please fans of Fugitives; tracks such as All The Names and Annual show have expanded their songwriting into yet-uncharted waters.

The Medium Mood have just finished their tour of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia and are gearing up for full promotional support of their new record.

The Medium Mood are Adam Hartling (drums), Andrew Gordon (bass and vocals), and Chad Peck (guitar and vocals).
